Our next EFAW First Aid Course will be held on  Monday 16th April 2012, 9-5pm £70 (no vat) per person – includes lunch and certification.  Trainer will be Dave B

This is the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 2 Emergency First Aid in the workplace course, which includes the following topics:

Roles and responsibilities of a first aider.  Assessment and management of first aid incidents. Management of an unconscious casualty. Management of a casualty who is not breathing normally. Management of a casualty who is choking. Management of a casualty who has a bleeding injury.  Management of a casualty who is in shock

Communication skills

Communication skills training from Training Cornwall is offered using the Insights Discovery Model under licence with The Colourworks.   This is a behavioural profiling tool than can help you and those who work with you to understand more about your communication.  You may wonder why with some people you get on well immediately and others you don’t, this model can help you to gain some understanding of why this might be so.  It will give you the tools to understand yourself better, understand others and look at how you might adapt your behaviour to get the most from your communication.  You can find more information about these courses on our Communication Skills pages.
